A-WALL Modular Office Walls

Complete electrical wiring packages are available for your A-WALL in-plant building. They include a main breaker panel, 2’ x 4’ recessed, grid type light fixtures, switches, receptacles and empty utility boxes with pull wires for data and phone wiring. The receptacles, switches and data boxes are pre-installed and factory wired to the tops of the wall panels. An optional, FLEX-4 modular wiring system is also available for even greater flexibility and speed of assembly (see below).

Unlike many modular building systems that limit wiring to hollow posts at the panel connections, standard A-WALL panels are equipped with three independent wiring cavities. This allows you to specify ganged switches and receptacles, as well as phone and data boxes, all in the same panel. If additional devices are required after the building is installed, these cavities facilitate concealed wiring using common, “off-the-shelf” boxes and conduit.

Factory Pre-Wire Package
Switches and receptacles are factory installed and wired in accordance with the National Electrical Code. A Pigtail with box connector is provided above each device at the ceiling plenum. Data/phone device boxes are factory installed in the panels with pull wires at the ceiling plenum for ease of wiring on-site. An electrician is only required to mount, power and wire the breaker panel to the pigtails and lights above the suspended ceiling. The only material that must be provided by the electrician is the conduit and wire above the ceiling, and the tubes for the lights.

FLEX-4 Modular Wiring Package
Switches, receptacles and lights are factory wired and equipped with U.L. listed, “snap together” cables. All cables necessary to connect these devices to the breaker panel are provided for the building installer. An electrician is only required to mount, power and wire the breaker panel to the FLEX-4 distribution cables. The electrician must also provide the tubes for the lights.
